\nThe seller of chiyantzotzol, which is a seed that looks like a white lentil, owns a cultivated plot of it. He threshes [the seeds] by rubbing them between his hands, and he sells each type of these seeds separately according to each town where they come from. He also sells the white ones and the dark ones separately, and the solid ones, the badly threshed ones, the soft ones, the green ones, and the spoiled ones separately. He sells each of these lots separately.
\nThe one who makes and sells the capes made of native palms, which are called iczotl, takes them abroad to sell; and he sells them for more than what they are worth. The capes that he sells are two fathoms long. And [he also sells] the seamless ones made to fit well to the body, the ones that have stripes that look like pipe bows,1 and the ones that are like burlap to wrap things.
